“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.” (Psalm 107:1-3, ESV)

Greetings Friends & Supporters,

I believe gratitude is one of the foundations for life well-lived. In the passage above the Psalmist reminds us to be grateful for God’s steadfast love (his faithfulness, his reliability, his mercy and affection) which lasts forever. He likewise challenges those of us who serve the Lord—those who have accepted his redemption—to be vocal in expressing our thanks and gratitude for God’s goodness. Perhaps like some of you, I too often forget “the trouble” that I’ve been able to endure (and some I’ve even escaped) because of God’s faithfulness. Nevertheless, “His steadfast love endures forever!”  What a promise, but it gets even better as we are reminded that God is busy redeeming and gathering to Himself people from east to west, from north to south—from all around the world! Your support of IOM associate missionaries serving around the world makes you part of this world-wide gathering process.

In that light, allow me to thank you personally for supporting IOM associate missionaries. The mission of IOM is to serve those serving Jesus around the world. We fulfill that mission in two primary ways. First, we work diligently to responsibly handle your donations and by making sure the missionaries you support receive those funds in a reliable and timely manner. Secondly, we take regular trips around the world to visit your missionaries on the field. In doing so our goal is very specific: pray with, listen to, and do all we can to thank and encourage their efforts. We can do what we do because of your support.

In this brief space it’s impossible to share about all the good and exciting things God is doing with and through IOM associates. Some are helping in the rescue and recovery of those trapped in human trafficking while others are feeding and helping to educate impoverished children. IOM is now partnering with those who are training the next generation of pastors and spiritual leaders in developing countries including Kenya, Uganda, Senegal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Mexico. I had the honor this year to be a part of teams planting ministry training institutes in Cuba and India, even as another team is doing preparation work for an “MTI” (Ministry Training Institut) in Zambia. Altogether, IOM is now serving 190+ missionaries in 26 countries. We consider it such a privilege to partner with you and these marvelous faith heroes as they share and demonstrate the Good News of the loving reign of King Jesus to a lost and broken, yet redeemed, world!

This year we (like St. Paul we try to travel in teams) were able to travel to Kenya, Cuba, India, Cambodia, and China to spend time encouraging IOM associate missionaries. We also hosted a wonderful Regional Mission Conference in partnership with New Covenant Church in Starkville, Mississippi. Several IOM associate missionaries gave first-person accounts of what the Lord is doing in the specific missions they serve. Excitedly, we are currently considering possible locations to host similar conferences next year—we will keep you posted.

May I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving season. As a nation we still have very much for which to be thankful. Let me say again that all of us at IOM are deeply moved by and sincerely grateful for your continued prayers and financial support. Please continue to pray for the IOM missionaries you support and for us, that we will continue to have the resources necessary to deliver spiritual refreshment and encouragement to those we serve. Trusting in God’s faithfulness and love for His people—which is always greater than our own, we remain

By His grace,
