Dear Friends and Supporters,

I trust that the onset of spring finds each of you doing well; enjoying the goodness of the Lord.
For me, 2016 has thus far included wonderful trips to Kenya and Uganda and a great leader’s conference here in the United States. At each venue, we enjoyed rich and encouraging fellowship with both long-term and brand-new friends. The rest of the year remains pretty busy with international trips to Guatemala, Cambodia, China, Mexico, and back to Kenya. I will also be representing IOM at two leadership gatherings in the US this fall. I count it such an honor to represent and share in the IOM story around the world.
The Scriptures tell us that God loved the world so much that He sent his Son to redeem it. They also tell us that this redemption includes His faithful, righteous judgment. Consider this passage from Psalm 96 (verses 11 to 13, ESV):

11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;
let the sea roar, and all that fills it;
12 let the field exult, and everything in it!
Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy
13 before the Lord, for he comes,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness,
and the peoples in his faithfulness.

Isn’t it interesting that we are encouraged to join the rest of creation in praise and rejoicing as we anticipate God’s faithful and righteous judgment? Generally speaking, most of us don’t associate “rejoicing” with “judgment.” That’s unfortunate but understandable in light of our misunderstanding of what judgment is all about. In God’s kingdom, judgment is about making things right — about making them as they should have been all along. Hence, God’s judgments are about restoration, about the keeping of His promise to fill the world with His righteousness, peace, and joy. The process of Jesus redemption begins in our hearts and culminates in the earth being filled with the glory of the Lord. If ever there was something to rejoice about, surely this is it!

Because of your generosity and ongoing support of IOM associate missionaries, the good news of this all-encompassing, redemptive love is being shared all around the world. IOM Associates are busy rescuing children, training ministers, feeding the poor, and sharing the gospel in word and deed. They are able to do this, and we are able to travel and support them, because of your generosity. Thank you so much.

As always, I want to encourage you to feel free to communicate with us if you have any questions about what we do. Lord willing, we are a few weeks away from unveiling a brand-new website that does a wonderful job of telling the IOM story. Until then, you can learn more about us by visiting our current site at internationaloutreachministries.org. By His grace, we remain

Committed to His eternal purpose,

Michael
